An established, expanding national service provider who is going from strength-to-strength is looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller. Operating in the safety industry this is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful, fast paced team. With an excellent reputation for delivering quality customer service across a broad spectrum of private and commercial clients across the UK.

You will be based at the new head office based in Halesowen. Working within the busy finance department team of 7. Working hours are 9am - 5pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch, 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays. In addition to this if your birthday falls in the working week you get it off for free. This is a full time office based role, please note work from home is not negotiable. The culture is energetic, friendly, fast paced and very much a team that works hard whilst having fun together. Parking close by and accessible by public transport links with a short walking distance to the office.

The Essence of the role

As a credit controller, you will be responsible for collecting outstanding debt via all means. Supporting the wider finance team where necessary.

Scope of the Credit Controller

  • Daily Credit Control responsibilities, including proactive chasing of clients, by telephone, email, and letter to ensure the prompt recovery of outstanding debt.
  • Escalate issues or queries to Manager and agree next steps
  • Monitor cash allocation and provide reports using SAGE
  • Proactively and promptly deal with and resolve client queries or questions as they arise.
  • Pick up any ad-hoc duties when required

Prerequisites

  • Experience of similar Credit Control role
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach
  • Previous experience of MS Office, specifically Excel and Word, SAGE
