Job Description

We are excited to be working with one of our amazing clients again, who are offering an exceptional HR Manager position within their Chester office. The HR Manager's purpose within the team will be to manage and guide the HR department, including overseeing people processes and policies to make sure they are fair for all employees. To support the people management functions that underpin the businesses culture. This is a brand new vacancy, and the HR Manager will be assisting with the office recruitment and induction process, and be involved with a range of varied and exciting duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing employee welfare relations including managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances and sickness

Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement

Providing guidance on development for middle management and their teams

Implementing a training and development programme; identify areas that need attention and improvement

Ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment law and ensuring Senior Management are up to date with any change in policy

Managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity including job advertisement, selection, sitting in interviews, and inductions

Administration of employee-related paperwork including employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notice of termination

Overseeing both HR & HS compliance and reporting on any issues

Overseeing processes to help the business maintain its current accreditations and achieve new accreditations

Work in collaboration with Senior Management to establish and roll-out people related strategies

Be able to handle sensitive and confidential information

Minimum Requirements:

Previous experience of working in HR / HS roles

Higher National Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management - preferred

Experience working with employment law

Be computer-literate

Have experience of using Microsoft Office (predominantly Excel & Word)

Have good people skills with the ability to lead and manage

Have a high standard of spelling, grammar & punctuation

Be able to plan and organise workload

Have excellent communication skills both written and oral

Be able to solve problems

Be able to learn quickly

Be able to work as part of a team and independently
