Salary: £46,072.48 per annum

Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for a Locality Manager to join our Eastern Region team covering 5 Local Authority areas, Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough, Luton, Milton Keynes and Hertfordshire. You will need to live within these areas or within close access and travelling distance.

About the role

This is a unique Social Care role where you will be working directly with social care sector employers as well as a wide range of other partners within the local health and care systems as the public face of Skills for Care. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders for example, registered care providers, local authorities, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), User Led Organisations (ULOs) and health organisations. This is a great role for a team player, with a real passion for the social care sector who wants to make a real difference in the work they do both strategically and operationally. Using your knowledge and experience you will have the opportunity to develop this role at a local level and contribute to developments potentially both regionally and nationally.

About you

We are looking for a creative, confident, and capable individual with a good knowledge and understanding of the adult social care sector. You should be skilled in rapport building, presenting, group facilitation and negotiation. Ideally will also be well versed in workforce development and ready to make a significant impact in the area.

This will involve extensive networking, requiring outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, a dynamic personality and proven ability to translate customer requirements into measurable actions through effective project management.

We are also looking for someone who is a genuine team player to support the Eastern region Area teams achievement of its business and area objectives.

This post will primarily cover five Local Authority areas within the Eastern Region. We are currently working virtually but in future the role may also involve travel within these areas and also regionally/nationally when required.
