Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a reputable business based in the East Grinstead area who are currently in search of a Product Manager to join their team.

Purpose of job:

The main purpose of the job is to develop and grow the financial services products to meet customer needs and budget for the business. The role will focus on managing the new products, services and initiatives, ensuring wording, sales and marketing are technically accurate and FCA compliant.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

In conjunction with others, prepare and get agreement to implement plans to deliver budgetary requirements. Monitor the growth and return of products against the budget, investigate any deviance to plan and make recommendations for remedial action where performance is negative to plan as well as cost recommendations for improvements. Ensure approved and/or remedial action plans are delivered
Research, design, produce cost benefit analyses and, after approval, implement new product and service initiatives working with internal and external partners as necessary
Make recommendations to improve products and/or commercial performance (e.g. cost efficiencies) of the products ensuring any proposed changes are fully planned and discussed, with supporting business cases, product approval processes followed and agreed changes are monitored through to and post successful delivery
Produce product wordings, customer product documentation and letters, ensuring clarity, technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
Act as the expert for product specific technical and operational queries, dealing with non-standard customer enquiries regarding the products and ensure feedback, issues and complaints are recorded and dealt with appropriately
Support marketing communications, provide technical sign off and ensure all promotional and operational material (regardless of distribution channel or form) remain up to date, member focused and compliant with regulation and legislation
Write informative articles for publication to support members and the reduction of claims and/or promotion of the products
Develop and annually review and update all governance documentation - processes, controls etc, including the underwriting guide - ensuring alignment of rules across documentation, sales channels, and the claims manual and processes
Undertake an annual review of products in line with FCA requirements
Ensure good collaboration and flow of product management and market intelligence with other departments and others in the team to ensure alignment of market insight, customer experience and product developments
Provide support for other business or strategic related projects as required
Ensure all administrative support is provided for the products, including issuing purchase orders, raising invoices, managing the stock control and getting approval for costs
Attend and represent the Insurance and Financial Services team at exhibitions and other events as requiredEssential Skills & Experience Required:

Previous experience of managing products and of delivering new product and services, ideally within a financial services environment
Good knowledge of FCA compliance and its practical application
Managing / coordinating projects
Writing reports, action planning and presenting to senior management
Negotiating and influencing
Use of G Suite
Experience of working in virtual teams
Strong stakeholder management skills and communication skills; including the ability to adapt communication method and style to suit the audience both internally, externally and with customers
Ability to work on own initiative, being organised and able to prioritise own workload
Excellent attention to detail
