Job Description

You will join us as Area Operations Manager and will be making sure that the day to day and long-term business strategies are met for each store to drive sales, reduce costs and exceed targets. Driving the business forward by developing a great team focused on delivering the best customer experience for both corporate and walk in customers, exceeding profit targets through creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Area Operations Manager Responsibilities:

Provide insightful assistance with budgeting and forecasting for each store
Conducting regular store visits/audits to ensure processes and standards are maintained
Monitoring sales strategies and implementation per store, identifying coaching, development and sales support needed to achieve targets for both corporate and walk in sales
To work with the store management to ensure keen Brand marketing and strong relationships with local businesses to be the ‘go-to’ destination for any event/meeting catering
To maintain and support a motivated and empowered team through a positive and open leadership style
To use relevant processes and policies to control the security of people, stock and cash and ensure compliance with health and food safety legislation
To identify and implement opportunities to enhance and market the product range in conjunction with the Trading department
To effectively launch new products following evaluation
To review and amend product presentations per store to ensure maximum sales impact (including the use of effective and accurate POS)
To ensure staffing levels are sufficient to meet projected sales targets (in conjunction with Store Managers)
Recruit high quality managers and colleagues into the business to ensure a culture of outstanding customer service, through effective training, development and progression of staff
Financial Responsibilities

Assist with the control of costs in line with agreed targets
Adherence to cash and stock control policies, ensuring and assisting others to do the same
Area Operations Manager Requirements:

Previous management experience in a food service/catering environment (or similar)
An understanding of budgets & targets and the ability to assist in working to deliver and improve them.
Some understanding of health and food safety and legislative responsibilities of a food environment
Some experience to team development and business development
Ability to contribute ideas for driving the business and its team forward
Ability to provide leadership, direction and motivation to teams
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
Ability to use logic and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions
