Job Description

We're looking for an Operational Team Lead to provide leadership to a team of professionally qualified technical experts (up to 12 direct reports). 

Your role will be to maximise operational effectiveness ensuring delivery of an excellent claims handling services for our members which is trusted, valued, and provides fair treatment and outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to maximise operational effectiveness.
  • Input into the ‘Academy’ (MPS's online learning platform) and continued development of competency frameworks and learning material – identifying training requirements and coordinating regular scheduled training sessions
  • Provide cross departmental support where required to ensure KPIs are met and service standards are maintained
  • Champion cultural and strategic changes taking place across the business
The Ideal Candidate

You'll have solid operational management experience, with a strategic view on things and a passion for leadership and coaching.  You'll manage in a way that encourages teamwork, trust, cooperation and productivity with a focus on boosting day to day efficiency. 

You'll be a confident decision maker with a strong influential style who enjoys communicating with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external.  You're someone who is able to prioritise and delegate, whilst focusing on continuous improvement to help improve processes and streamline functionality.
