The Supply Chain Manager will develop and enact the Supply Chain strategy, ensuring that best value contracts are introduced and appropriately managed with high performing Supply Chain partners in direct support of the overall growth strategy.

Client Details

My client are a specialist materials manufacturer based in South Wales, they are part of a global manufacturing group who continue to invest and grow.


The Successful candidate will be responsible for:

Line management responsibility for the Supply Chain team, ensuring their continued professional development and effective support to the business,
managing and maintaining a highly motivated team to lead on the tendering, evaluation and placement of purchase orders and contracts
The development of optimum relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of contracts for the delivery of materiel and services, to include annual reviews with key suppliers
The end to end procurement process from planning, setting of procurement requirements, issuing of tenders through to evaluation, selection & contract award and coordinates the internal sign off
Development and maintenance of robust processes, procedures and systems for the effective and efficient delivery of Supply Chain activities
Delivering the agreed plan and develop departmental capabilities to ensure it meets all the needs of the business in terms of providing these services at an optimum cost, delivered to customers, on time delivery
Inventory planning, managing parameters and policies within the boundaries set
Maintaining the production schedule with sufficient material flow
Identifying critical success factors and implement key KPI's to measure and monitor performance and improvementsProfile

The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience as a supply chain manager with direct people management
Demonstrate experience of forecasting, planning and performance management
Have a proven ability to lead and motivate a team in an extremely busy and fast paced environment
Posses Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Have experience in an end to end supply chain role ideally with MCIPS
