We have a fixed term Pension Remedy Lead role available within Suffolk Constabulary until October 2023. This role is ideal for someone with proven payroll and pension administration skills and can lead from the front. This role requires the applicant to lead the implementation of Pension Remedy for public service pensions.
Role: Pension Remedy Lead
Location: Suffolk constabulary, Portal Ave, Martlesham Heath, Martlesham, Ipswich IP5 3QS
Rate: £14.89 per hour
Contract length: Until October 2023
Shift Patterns: 37 hours per week
Acting as the key contact for Pension Remedy
Providing guidance to affected officer/ex officers and pensioners
Monitoring existing risk and notifying senior leadership of arising risks
Attending National NPCC meetings and providing feedback to senior management
Declaring tax liabilities resulting from the remedy to HMRC
Managing payroll inputs and adjustments from remedy actions Essential requirements:
Proven experience working in payroll/pensions
Knowledge and ability of Local Government Pension Schemes and HMRC regulations
Experience writing and implementing policies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience supervising a team
Ability to use Microsoft products including excelDesirable requirements:
Driving license and use of a car
