Job Description

My Client based in Kendal are looking for a reliable person to take responsibility for the processing and movement of all parts, materials and products in/out of the business including receipt, batch control, storage and dispatch.

Job Purpose:

As well as looking after the processing of parts and materials, you will also assist production team in the preparation and assembly of products for stock holding.

This is a physically demanding role with some heavy lifting.


  • Goods in/out, loading and unloading of goods. Order processing, picking, packing and dispatch
  • Stock Control, quality inspection, storage of all stock, batch control and stock rotation.
  • Assist with the assembly and packaging of products
  • Maintain all warehouse areas, keeping them clean and tidy, recycling business waste materials
  • Assist technical manager with testing requirements
  • Assemble kits in accordance with instructions
  • Inspect equipment in accordance with regulations as required
  • Comply with all safety requirements for all activities

Any other duties as needed.


Experience of using pedestrian fork lifts would be useful but not essential as training will be given.

  • basic IT skills required in the use of MS Office, Databases, Sage and shipping software tools

Salary range: £19,000-£21,000

Hours: 37.5 per week. 9am-5pm

Holidays: 21 days with extra day after one year up to maximum of 26 days, plus bank holidays
