Operations Administrator

Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 DOE

Hours: 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday + free parking

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Administrator to work with a leading company who supply the leisure and lifestyle industry with high quality, in demand products.

This well-established company have been providing an excellent service for over 30 years and are experiencing a high volume of orders so are seeking an Operations Administrator to join their friendly team.

This is a busy and varied position where your duties will include accurately processing orders, liaising with customers / suppliers and providing excellent customer service.

This position would suit an individual who is highly organised and possesses excellent administrative skills.

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Accurately processing customer orders
  • Responding to enquires from customers whilst providing an excellent service
  • Planning the customer journey from enquiry, quote, sale and fitting
  • Communicating with suppliers to ensure parts are being delivered on time
  • Despatching orders and keeping customer up to date
  • Communicating any delays to the customer
  • Resolving any delivery issues by liaising with suppliers and couriers
  • Ensuring databases are kept up to date with communication and progress

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Previous experience within an administrative position
  • Strong data input and administration skills
  • A hands-on positive attitude to work
  • Ability to multitask and work calmly in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Excel
