A great opportunity has become available to join a fast-growing FMCG business as an Operations Accountant, based at their site in Grimsby. A competitive salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience is on offer, plus a benefits package.
You will work closely with the Finance, Operations and Site Management teams to support the monitoring of performance, alongside identifying opportunities for improvement. You will take accountability for aspects of financial and costings, identifying, challenging and proactively satisfying internal requirements.
As Operations Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Provide professional and trusted financial support to the wider business on financial, stock control and costing matters.
Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports and commercial commentaries.
Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly accounts.
Assist in ensuring commercial finance reporting are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
Collecting, analysing and reviewing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reductions.
Reporting on business performance, labour, stock and yield and advising where improvements and efficiencies can be made.
Assist in the trending of reports and material variances.
Assist in the development of all weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models.
To be successful in this Operations Accountant role, you will ideally:
Have experience in the manufacturing and/or FMCG industry.
Be a confident communicator and negotiator with professional peer groups.
Have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Based in Grimsby, this role is easily commutable from Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Goole, Hull and surrounding areas.
