Job Description

Financial Accountant, Global Battery Storage Platform
This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to join Macquarie’s Green Investment Group in London. As part of a new team, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to support the rapidly growing global energy storage business.
Our Green Investment Group’s global energy storage business develops, builds, owns and operates grid scale battery storage projects across a number of markets globally including Australia, Japan, Taiwan, UK and Europe. This role is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the team as the business looks to move to the next phase of growth in becoming a global market leader.
Based in our London office and reporting directly to the Financial Controller in Melbourne, you will be responsible for the complete management accounts, financial accounts, defining and implementing internal controls and operational processes required to support the business as it looks to move to the next phase of growth in becoming a global leader in battery storage.
You will also assist with the regulatory and management reporting across UK and Europe, month end closing and balance sheet reconciliations, support in preparation of financial forecasts and projection, preparation of budget and ongoing monitoring of performance compared to budget, and reviewing / finalising management packs for the Financial Controller. Your position will also drive process improvement projects and other adhoc project work, as well as managing the Outsource Service Provider (OSP).
We are looking for those with ACA/ACCA qualifications or equivalent (ideally with three to five years post qualified experience).  Having statutory accounting experience and a working knowledge of UK Corporate Tax and VAT regulations will be a key component to this position.
If you are a team player and want to be part of a successful growing business, we would love to hear from you.
