Company Management Accountant

A salary of up to £35,000 per year (plus benefits)


Stafford (dig-x HQ) based

The role and its key responsibilities -

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our professional and dedicated team, based in Stafford. We are looking for someone with experience in the accurate and timely production of management accounts, maintaining tight control over the balance sheet, completing monthly reconciliations, and instilling financial discipline at all levels within the organisation to safeguard the company’s assets.

Some of the key responsibilities involve:

* Review all customer sales invoices and responsible for credit control.

* Approval and reconciliation of all supplier payments, using invoice recognition software.

* Responsibility for bank payments.

* Weekly bank reconciliations.

* Preparation of accurate and monthly management accounts by the agreed timetable.

* With the management team, be responsible for setting the annual plan and then forecasting the plan every quarter.

* Provide support to the project team and undertake the management of the property accounts for the Holding company.

* Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Registers and reconciliations to the Balance Sheet;

* Operational cash forecasting, looking forward to a minimum of 26 weeks, investigation of variances and group reporting;

* Preparation of the quarterly VAT return for submission to HMRC;

* Preparation of monthly payroll and pension submission to the Payroll Bureau.

* Support with statutory accounts and tax process.

What you will need for the role:

* Have proven experience working in a similar role.

* Be nearly qualified or a qualified Accountant with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

* Have experience with Quickbooks accountancy software.

* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can communicate with financial and non-financial stakeholders.

* Have a positive and proactive approach to change and actively look to improve processes and procedures.

* Be highly motivated, collaborative, and results-driven

* Experience in accounts for a property company would be an advantage.
