A successful technology company are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their head office finance team based in the Bradley Stoke area of Bristol. This is a permanent position, open to part time, 3 long days or 5 shorter days, for an experienced Finance Assistant who wishes to work closely with the Finance Director within a fast paced and busy accounts role. Sage 50 experience is essential.
Accounts Assistant Position Overview
The primary role is to assist with sales ledger and purchase ledger functions including reconciling and reporting. In addition the role is to provide an accounting and administrative resource including the timely and accurate reconciliations of company credit card purchases / expenses, foreign currency transactions and petty cash.
Assist with Purchase Ledger activities -such as but not limited to matching invoices to delivery notes and PO values including posting to Sage.
Preparation of client sales invoices including posting to Sage.
Provide timely and accurate accounting reconciliations of credit card purchases / expenses, foreign currency transactions and petty cash.
Assist with Sales Ledger activities -such but not limited to credit control communications, remittances and debtors reporting including posting to Sage.
Assist with daily / weekly and monthly reports as required.
Duties relating to the company's general building maintenance , motor fleet and travel bookings;
Cover for department colleagues' work in times of absence;
Provide ad-hoc duties as and when required by your line manager and / or a Director
Be knowledgeable on and conversant with the Company's portfolio of solutions and services.
Support the sales team with any information as required and directed by the Financial Controller.
Maintain on a daily basis an up-to-date record of all activities and contact with clients and prospects through the Company's CRM database.
Accounts Assistant Position Requirements
AAT qualifications are highly advantageous but not essential
Prior experience as an account assistant or finance assistant is essential
Experience in processing sales and purchase ledger
Excellent communication skills
Accounts Assistant Position Remuneration
£20,000 - £27,000 dependant on experience and skills (pro rata'd if part time)
3-4 full days per week or 5 shorter days part time
Office hours are 9- 17.30
