JM163: Field Based Collection Agents
Salary: £24k + Competitive Bonus with an OTE of £31,664
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client to recruit Field Based Collection Agents to join their team in Coventry. The agents will be responsible for visiting residential and commercial customers within a regional area for the purpose of debt resolution, collecting payments, securing payment arrangements, making contact visits and various other field based calls.
This is not a bailiff/repossession role; you are there to help, and your role will be to visit customers in arrears on behalf of major Energy and Water Utilities. Using your listening and negotiation skills, you will help customers take positive steps to address their debt situation, identifying the most appropriate solution based on their circumstances.
As you become more experienced, you will also support the installation of Pre-Payment Meters under warrants obtained with your responsibility to oversee the installation with the assistance of an engineer and locksmith.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Visits to customer’s properties on a daily/weekly basis to the guidelines agreed with clients
Discuss accounts with customers who have fallen into arrears in their payments to our clients and negotiate repayment solutions
Ensure all visits are completed accurately
Submit all customer payments into the office in accordance with Company Procedure
Complete and return all warrant paperwork into office in accordance with Company procedure where appropriate
Achieve targets set by Field Manager and comply with quality guidelines

To consistently identify the best solution to problems quick and accurately
What you will require:
Clear CRB and a satisfactory Credit Check
Full and satisfactory employment references
Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle
Confident with the ability to work well under pressure and excellent communications skills
In return, our Client offers:
Working within London, an additional 10% on your annual salary is paid, bringing the basic package up to £26,622 before bonus; postcodes include N, NW, SW, SE, W, WC, E & EC.
