Senior Payroll Accountant

£200 - £220 p/d

Fixed Term Contract, Full time

Fully Remote (Requirement to travel to Leeds 2 x per month)

Senior Payroll Accountant required to join an NHS organisation on a remote basis. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Senior Payroll Accountant to join their dynamic and growing team on a fixed term, permanent basis.

As the Senior Payroll Accountant you will lead on the financial accounting for employees, secondees and contingent labour, alongside the various duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Accountant
Manage the interface from the payroll system to the ledger
Reconciliation of all people cost balance sheet control accounts
Trouble-shooting and query resolution with HR and outsourced payroll provider
Contribution to the annual accounts/ audit and other external workforce related returns
Other financial accounting tasks as required
Required skills and experience of the Senior Payroll Accountant
Part qualified CCAB/CIMA, fully qualified AAT or QBE
Experience of managing and reconciling accounting entries for payroll costs
Knowledge of payroll systems including interfaces from payroll systems to financial ledgers
Experience of working with an external payroll provider
Strong IT skills including Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Demonstrates initiative whilst able to take direction
