Project Accountant | £42,000 - £52,000 + Benefits | Permanent | London - Hybrid

For one of the largest housing developers and construction companies in London, we are recruiting a Project Accountant - Sales and Developments. Due to growth and internal promotions, this is an exciting role which will join a well-established team and will provide project accounting services for development, construction, and sales activities across 15 active projects at any one time.

Main Duties:

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc project account reports and KPIs
Ensure financial and project accounting records are accurately reflected in the accounting systems
Develop strong working relationships with external development partners, Directors, and Project Teams and providing an insightful business partnering service.
Assist in the coordination and production of annual project budgets with Sales teams, Development teams and Construction teams
Assist in the production of annual statutory financial statements, liaising with Audit
Forecasting outturn for the year, based on evidence, and assisting budget holders in monitoring project budgets and delivering project targets

Person Specification:

Qualified or Finalist level Accountant
Strong experience of project accounting ideally in the construction or property development area
Experience of month-end and year-end project accounting audits
Strong interpersonal skills including proven experience working closely with non-finance staff and Heads of Departments
Strong Excel and MS Office experience and ideally Power BI software
