I'm working exclusively with a client based in Swindon to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis. This assignment is 4/5 months long with the potential to eventually go permanent. The client are offering hybrid working with this role (3 days on-site, 2 days from home) and the client are also offering a 4 day working week if this is more appealing.

The Role

This role was created on a temporary basis to support the current financial accountant, and take the pressure off-of their workload. This role will be working across a number of bank accounts in multiple currencies. Some of the main duties involved in this role will include:
Audit support/prep: working closely with auditors to compile and present relevant reports, documentation and paperwork from across approximately 30 different accounts.
Year-end duties: to assist with any transnational duties around year end as per the financial accountant's request.
Reconciliations: reconcile funds, reports and invoicing for the clients grant programme and their current accounts.
Allocating funds: ensuring funding is allocated correctly and that payments are made; essentially joining the dots of the transactions.
