ERM is seeking a motivated Project Accountant to join our UK Business Unit to support the finance function with general project accounting duties. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and exciting global environmental leader. We have a proven track record of professional development and would be prepared to offer study support to those undertaking CIMA or ACCA qualifications.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The key responsibilities of this role will be to provide general financial administrative support to Project Managers, Partners and the Project Accounts team.


Project Set-up


Generating invoices


Issuing of invoice numbers


Posting of invoices


Updating of fee rates


Re-posting of time


Closing projects


Reconciliations of project variances, WIP and invoicing


Analysis of project costs against budget


Set-up and manage project trackers in Excel


Ad-hoc queries


Reporting


The project accountant must be able to develop good working relationships with stakeholders on all levels and must therefore be very professional, outgoing and approachable. The role may involve some travel within the UK to other local offices.

PROFILE

The ideal candidate for this Project Accountant role will be someone part-qualified on ACCA/CIMA or AAT. However you could also be a recent graduate or further-education leaver (with a Finance related course) with an interest in starting a career in Finance/accounting, or an individual with previous experience in a similar Finance or data role. You will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and develop in a varied role that will require you to adapt and manage in a changing environment. The successful candidate will have:
