Due to further growth and success, we are delighted to offer this progressive training opportunity for an individual who is looking for a career in accountancy. As the Trainee Accountant you will be joining this genuine, kind and considered family business, where the team are close, and the environment is warm and friendly. If you are keen on kick starting your career in accountancy, and are either a school/college leaver or have started your AAT level 2, we'd like to hear from you. This role is offered Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Main responsibilities with training (80%)

Bookkeeping services for a wide variety of clients:

Purchase ledger
Sales ledger
Cashbook and bank reconciliations
Customer and supplier allocations
Preparing VAT returns and all related reconciliations
Preparing basic financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies ready for manager review
Managing and meeting multiple deadlines
Using multiple software packages including Xero, QuickBooks Administrative services: (20%)

Client record management
Dealing with incoming and outgoing post (including scanning)
Answering the telephone and greeting clients at the door as required What's in it for you?
