Due to our operational expansion, we now have an opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team.

Hours of work are 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.

Responsibilities:

Process purchase invoices manually and using our automated scan and capture system

Process employee expense claims and credit card statements

Prepare payment runs, arranging and settling contras

Perform supplier statement reconciliations and review aged creditors reports

Resolve queries in conjunction with the Purchasing team

Develop good relationships with key suppliers

Maintain purchase ledger accounts, posting and allocating payments

Input to short term cash flow forecasting

Contribute to implementation of new systems, processes, and controls

Required Skills:

Previous purchase ledger experience

Good Microsoft Office skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organised with experience of working in a high volume, fast-paced role

Highly motivated, self-starter

Methodical and accurate with strong attention to detail

Used to working to tight deadlines

Desirable Skills and Personal Qualities:

Accounting qualification (fully or part-qualified)

Familiarity with a multi-company, multi-currency environment

Experience of using Oracle Netsuite
