The Director of Clinical Services role forms part of the hospital Senior Management Team and is wholly responsible for the clinical services operation (nursing and therapy) within the Services and will deputise for the Hospital Director’s across two services.

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Director of Clinical Services or Ward Manager looking to take the next step to work across two exceptional services.

The DoCS will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills, manage a team of ward managers, empowering them with strong leadership, skills and adequate resources for them to do their job. Manager Recruitment, Retention and Reward for all Clinical Staff.

You will be expected to travel between both sites.
Experience working with Eating Disorder and Addictions is desirable.
Extensive clinical and management experience is required, including coaching outstanding performance, effective supervision of line managers, succession planning, and managing any areas of underperformance.
The successful candidate will have finely tuned decision making skills, delivering excellent results in a highly time sensitive environment.
Effective organisational capability, with skill at managing tight deadlines are a must.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with large teams of Managers.
Enthusiastic and motivated with a strong “can do” attitude that replicates your own desire to succeed.
A role model to other staff and patients- providing advice and support to promote good practice.
Ensuring good, strong and effective governance, and acting as a clinical lead and strong deputy for the Hospital Director’s in their absence. You must be competent in supporting the Hospital Director in planning for internal and external inspections, whilst keeping the Services safe at all times.
You will be competent in relationship building, and able to develop strong interpersonal relationships with key referrers and stakeholders.
You will encourage team members to expand, develop their own competencies and effective succession planning.
There will need to be a strong ability to work under pressure, which is essential and this includes time sensitive decisions

Lifeworks is a private addiction and eating disorder clinic in Old Woking, Surrey, and has 17 beds and a Cottage for sole occupancy.
