This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working (Hybrid / London at least 1 day per month in office for team meetings) and 11% pension from the second year!

This is a part time role - 2 days per week (14 hours)

Salary (full time equivalent) - £40,000 - £45,000 subject to experience

About the role:

We help Which? members in telephone consultations with their tax, pensions, investments, questions as well as undertake FOS claims and fraud and scams work. At the other end of the spectrum we cover social care, welfare and benefits, appealing to a wide audience of Which? members. We help people apply for financial assistance and benefits they might be entitled to as well as supporting wealthier members with managing their wealth and getting the best saving rates and deals.

We also cover savings, banking, travel money, motor, home, pet and other general insurance products, health insurance, protection products, life insurance, mortgage, equity release, trusts and estate planning and funeral plans.

We assist the Money Editorial Team and Journalists by providing copy for the Money Clinic pages of the Money Magazine, some of Which?'s most read print content. We often feature in Your Which? and other content channels.

We assist journalists, editors, researchers, policy, press office, content and insight teams with data, case studies, technical reviews and other matters at their request. We maintain deep and strong relationships with other departments.

Key responsibilities include:
Provide expert advice or guidance to customers based on a thorough understanding of the above subject areas
Competently keeping our case management systems up to date with concise yet thorough notes on consultations.
Maintain professional expertise through course attendance and reading of legal articles, in line with but not limited to CPD requirements in accordance with the financial advice sector (35 hours of CPD) .
Maintaining effective communication, both within the department and with other departments, assisting Money, Policy teams and other colleagues with insight

About you

You should have experience of retail financial services and in particular should be able to assist consumers with their questions about savings, pensions, investments, life insurance, general insurance, protection and have knowledge of tax issues associated with these disciplines. Knowledge of estate planning, equity release and other later life matters would be a bonus.

You should have an excellent telephone manner. You must be rigorous and have the adaptability to switch from subject to subject.
