Practice Bookkeeper in Stevenage - Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD

A well-established accountancy group are recruiting for their Stevenage, Hertfordshire office for an experienced Accountancy Practice Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be joining the Bookkeeping team taking control of a portfolio of predominantly SME's from a variety of exciting backgrounds.

Practice Bookkeeper Position Overview

Taking control of a portfolio of clients being the first point of contact for queries
Management Accounts
Preparing double-entry bookkeeping to trial balance
Calculate Clients weekly and monthly payrolls, year-end returns and liaise with the HMRC Preparation of Statutory Accounts for medium and small companies, completing relevant schedules
Preparation of VAT returns

Practice Bookkeeper Position Requirements

You will be an AAT Level 3 qualified Bookkeeper or above with at least three years' experience and be interested in providing bookkeeping services to SME businesses with turnovers up to 15 million.
Previous experience working in an accountancy practice as a Bookkeeper.
You will have knowledge of IRIS, xero and quickbooks ideally.

Practice Bookkeeper Position Remuneration

£24,000 - £30,000 per annum dependant on experience
Mon - Fri 09:00am - 17:30pm (9.00 - 15.00 may be considered 5 days a week)
Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire
On going training and career progression within a large multi partner firm
20 days holiday + bank holidays
