Job Description

A Procurement Manager position is needed for a leading engineering company based in North Yorkshire, with specific focus to build a comprehensive vendor strategy for Third Party Supplier services.

Based in North Yorkshire around, Ripon Northallerton, Thirsk area. The Procurement Manager will proactively manage critical supply chains. Developing long-term, open, collaborative and commercially robust business relationships.

Key aspects to the role are to project manage supplier programmes to ensure the on-time, on-cost, on quality delivery of bespoke high-value/complexity and services

Duties:
* 3rd Party Service Management (including drafting, amending, negotiating, and managing terms and conditions) following applicable legislation and company processes
* Building and nurturing supplier and key stakeholder relationships
* Leading in the internal Multi-Functional Team responsible for the delivery of a sub-contract (consisting of Technical, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Project Management)
* Holding the Supplier to account for their performance and resolving any issues/conflicts (hardware, services, and documentation)
* Providing commercial guidance to internal stakeholders
* Generating and implementing supplier strategies that deliver value for money
* Risk and opportunity management

* Assertiveness with a can-do attitude who continually seeks a way to maximise opportunities - analyse situations and be adept at understanding and presenting different possibilities, balancing risk
* Flexible and adaptable - in specific roles, there may be a significant expectation of global travel
* You must be a UK national or citizen to be eligible for the role

Required:
* Experience in a Procurement / Subcontract related role
* Experience in Contract Management / Terms and Conditions
* Qualified in a business subject area, procurement or supply chain accreditations or equivalent experience
* Prior experience in defence procurement and contracting
* Negotiation skills
* Degree level qualification(s) and / or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) accredited

Package:
* Salary: £55k - £60k * depending experience
* Holiday: 25 days p/a, plus bank holidays
* Pensions: company will comply with statutory obligations for pension contribution, which is currently employer contribution 4% and employee contribution 5%
* Working Hours: 40 hours a week
