Escape Recruitment are working with the Centre of Expertise for the Higher Education/Further Education (HE/FE) Sector who are looking to recruit a Procurement Category Manager to join the General, HR and Professional Services Category within the core collaborative contracting team.
The Procurement Category Manager will work closely with the Head of Category and be responsible for General HR & Professional Services Framework Agreements. The Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for managing and undertaking the full end-to-end procurement process including strategy, tendering, award and implementation of Framework Agreements followed by ongoing contract management. There will be extensive involvement in responsible procurement. They will work and engage with Senior Stakeholders within the sector, cross sectorally and across the UK.

Knowledge and experience required for the role:
Appropriate level of knowledge and experience of Regulated Procurement directives
Stakeholder engagement skills at all levels
Category strategy formulation and implementation
End-to-end tendering experience
Contract Management skills
Knowledge and experience of incorporating sustainable and responsible procurement best practice into the procurement process including strategy, specifications and through contract management and the wider supply chain
Excellent communication skills
Operate independently and effectively as well as being an integral member of the team
Proficient in the use of the procurement related e-tools
This is a Hybrid Role and the successful candidate will be required to work 2 days per week on-site in Stirling or Glasgow Offices…..
