We now have an exciting opportunity for a Software Asset Manager - Digital & IM Governance supportingthe Airbus Defence and Space division, based in either Stevenage or Portsmouth .
About the role
You will be working as part of the Digital Governance team, with international team members located in Germany, France, Spain, responsible for:
Defining the divisional processes, how to request software for internal use, documentation of the installations and usage i.r.t. SW-license metric of editors,

Coordinating cross-divisional Airbus Group wide used SW-licenses and inside of the division

Managing SW-audits according the Airbus Group software audit management process

Managing the external service provider (delivering national license service management service by country)

Supporting the roll-out of a state-of-the-art sourcing strategy covering new ways of sourcing and service delivery models (DevOps, Agile/Scrum), SAFe) for a highly complex field of End to End IM (Information Management) Services

This position will require a security clearance up to SC level which requires 5 years UK Residency with UK Citizenship
Role responsibilities:
Execution of software governance and monitoring of processes

Analysis of software contracts and license models, operational reporting, monitoring and data

Working in multi-functional teams to define new contract and license models on divisional- or Airbus Group level

collaborating between General Procurement, IM infrastructure, the software business responsible, product owners and software component owners as well as the Digital Governance organisations of Airbus Commercial and Airbus Helicopter.

Capturing and analysis of software usage in order to optimize the management of maintenance and procurement within national and international perimeter

Optimisation, consolidation and standardisation of the software portfolio

Software audit management and coordination

Process optimisation and harmonization of contracts in collaboration with group software governance, general procurement, customers and Digital key stakeholders

Planning and coordination of internal projects/tasks in collaboration with affected departments (incl. costs)

Managing and steering the external License Management Factory Service Provider

Support the Digital Organization in the operational sourcing process

Drive the implementation of measures to support the adherence to procurement and

Compliance processes.

Define and manage Key Value indicators to ensure satisfaction of internal customers

Setup and maintain Supplier Performance Management Framework (Processes, Methods & Tools).

Skills & Qualifications:
Degree for information technology or comparable experience

Experience of different software licensing models, the related licence metrics and IT asset management

Experience with process definition, methods and software governance

Project management experience in international environments

Software license management and digital contract management knowledge

Service Provider Management

Good Leadership, Financial and presentation skills

Knowledge about enterprise processes and responsibilities

Ability to act independently combined with relevant sense for responsibility

Structured, process and target oriented

Ability for teamwork with English language up to negotiation level

ITIL foundation

Business travel readiness

Knowledge of SAM tool (e.g. USU Software Management Suite - former Aspera SmartTrack)
