Your new role
The IT Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, design and implement IT-related activities of the organisation, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department.
Work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver IT services in both the factory and office environments.
Work closely with the European IT functions ensuring the site complies with group policy and procedures (information security, etc).
Managing ongoing supplier relationships for hardware/software procurement as well as managed services. Responsible for the IT disaster recovery for the wider business continuity plan.
People management including appraisal and reviews, recruitment, etc.
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
Create Annual Plans based on Group, European and local strategic plans
Oversee the life cycle management and continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Budgetary responsibility in line with annual plan
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, in a Manufacturing business Strong leadership skills, highly self-motivated, flexible attitude.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, and persuade others.
Ability to conduct and complete research into IT issues and products as required.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

ITIL service desk (Certified)
Experience in SOX compliance
Budget Control Management
Cisco Meraki (WLAN, LAN & Security - VPNs etc).
Cisco Unified Communications (VoIP).
Active Directory including Group Policy
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 - 2016.
SQL Server administration.
Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops - On premise and cloud services.
LAN/WAN (ADSL/EFM/MPLS leased line).
VMware virtualised server and ESXi environment.
NET App SAN.
Windows Server, 2003,2008R.
VOIP Telephony experience (Avaya).
