We are looking for a proactive, diligent, and knowledgeable professional to join the Lab & Facilities team to implement best industry practice and manage the company’s sample and compound management system.You will be responsible for the tracking and handling of samples. This includes receiving samples, setting up assay plates and shipping them to global locations. There will be elements of lab-based work, administration, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identifying methodologies for continual improvement and implement of new systems for automation within compound management, including expanding the team’s capability to provide assay ready platesLocating and managing the systems in place for all peptides produced in-house and those arriving from CRO’s.Responsibility for retrieving and returning samples once requested by scientific and lab support teams via an online ticketing systemWorking closely with biology, DMPK, chemistry, compound technicians and logistics co-ordinator to locate requested peptides and prepare samples or bioassay plates using manual and automated procedures. This involves the use of MS Teams, Excel, and Dotmatics lab management system; and may include responsibility for organising shipment of our molecules to CRO’s and partners.Ensure efficient and quality controlled sample management process, linking to our ELN and appropriate records are maintainedAudit and maintain organised storage locationsManaging the temperature monitoring programmeQualificationsA Scientific degree or equivalentExperience in Compound management, within a Scientific environmentExperience of using an ELN, preferably DotmaticsProven experience and knowledge of automated compound management and lab-based systemsCompetence with the MS Office suite of programmes and ideally a lab-based management systemPersonal Skills and CharacteristicsTeam player with strong motivational skillsExcellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloadClose attention to detail and ability to anticipate and mitigate problemsAbility to handle complex informationYou will possess strong organisational skills with be able to communicate and work with all levels within the business coupled with a strong desire to get the job done.Able to use own initiative and has a positive attitude towards to developing efficient ways of workingAdditional InformationState-of-the-art campus environmentCompetitive reward including annual company bonus28 days annual leave in addition to bank holidaysEmployer contribution to pensionLife assurance cover 4x basic salaryPrivate Medical Insurance, including optical and dental coverHealth Cash PlanEligibility for an option grant to subscribe to shares in Bicycle Therapeutics plc.Cycle to work schemeBicycle Therapeutics is committed to building a diverse workforce that is representative of the communities we serve.
