Mott MacDonald are looking to hire project controls professionals in both the junior and mid-level band.What you will contribute to the team; Ability to develop contracting and procurement plans.Preparing tender and contract documentation.Managing tender processes.Managing contracts, including contractual obligations. Negotiating with Industry including pricing negotiations, contract terms, risk and reward as well as establishing Intellectual Property Rights. Developing commercial governance procedures, processes and systems.Managing eSourcing and/or eEvaluation systems.Providing administrative duties on contracts and procurement processes for client teamAdhering to appropriate Public Procurement Regulations. Working effectively with stakeholders, inside and outside of client organisation, to ensure successful outcomes and wider team deliverables. Develop and supervise commercial staff and sharing knowledge and expertise. Potential travel required in advert either 2/3 days a month or once a week depending on projectCandidate SpecificationRequired for the position of Commercial Manager; Educated to Degree level or equivalent Professional Membership (or working towards professional membership) with an applicable professional organisationMust have existing security clearance (SC or higher) and hold a UK passportProven track record in commercial delivery, in defence (preferred) or other sectorsGood knowledge and application of commercial management methodologies, including NEC4 and NEC3.Ability to operate both autonomously and as part of a larger teamFlexibility to travel and work in different sectors and clientsPreferred, but not required  Good research and analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication and organisation skillsEssential Soft skills include, leadership, flexibility, self-motivation, effective listening, persuasion, creativity, collaborative style, insightfulnessComputer literacy in Microsoft applicationsWorking knowledge of commercial management software and toolsIf you meet 80% or more of what we're looking for, please still apply. We understand not everyone will meet all the requirements, but you might have skills we didn't know we need.  Job ProfileAbout the business unit The Advisory and Programme Delivery(APD) unit delivers management services in all the sectors that Mott MacDonald operate in the Built Environment, Defence, Energy, Water, Transportation and, Education, Health and Care. TheUnit delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to 20bn, through the technical disciplines of Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting and Education, Health and Care Management. How to applyTo apply for this role, please complete our 15-minute application via our website.
