We currently have varied and exciting opportunities across our commercial function for Senior Commercial Managers to join our team!Location: FlexibleJob title:Senior Commercial ManagerJob Description:What you’ll be doing:Assisting the sales team to secure profitable and deliverable new businessAssisting and providing commercial oversight in deal shaping, negotiations & contractingAdvising on client contract contracting vehicle type and commercial modelManaging competitive dialogue processesEnsuring all customer and supplier bids/contracts are approved and reviewed in line with deal approval governance and policy prior to submission/signatureIdentifying, managing and reporting on key commercial / legal risks (legal risks to be communicated to Legal function and ongoing appropriate support / liaison to be maintained)Providing client contract briefings and assure commercial obligations during mobilisation and/or demobilisation/exitProviding in-life client contract management supportSupporting the business by owning and performing the ongoing admin of contracts (including the provision of contractual templates / tool kits, and delivering notices)Supporting & advising on commercial disputes, lead settlement negotiations and define and record settlement terms (except in case of formal dispute/litigation)Acting as a direct specialist point of contact to the business on all commercial matters including contract archival, retrieval, storageDeveloping the business relationship with the client-side procurement/contracts functionMember of Client Partner Leadership team  Full engagement and contribution to Market Vertical management team on strategic and tactical forecasting/planning and implementation in accordance with business plansWhat we’re looking for:Experienced senior commercial individual who has track record in bidding for, negotiating and managing significant sales & supplier contractsHas extensive commercial and contracts experience and demonstrable track record of owning and delivering pre and post contract activity, including:Defining and/or advising on the commercial strategy for the bid lifecycle and/or customer engagementAnalysing and managing risk including assessing the revenue opportunity vs. cost and riskManaging and securing internal approvals for new bid opportunitiesManaging the commercial viability of bidsLeading negotiations encompassing multiple disciplines including supplier negotiations and flow-downsExcellent knowledge of contract law and its application in SW / IT / BPO / Professional Services environmentsGood working knowledge of GDPRModelling and testing contractual KPIsSound financial acumen (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet) and good understanding of financial modelling, contract pricing and differing pricing modelsProducing reports and summaries (ad hoc and regular) which articulate key matters for a senior and/or non-commercial audienceExperienced in defining, driving and overseeing commercial & contract governanceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in line management responsibilities of commercial colleaguesStrong leadership style focussed on engagement and driving to outcomes:Strong & confident communicator able to successfully engage and influence at all levels of the organisation, including up to Divisional Management and senior members of Functional TeamsChampion to both the business and the Commercial function as a cross-functional leader and internal influencerConfident decision-makerStarter – Finisher: seeing activities through to successful completion whilst creating a platform for engagement & collaborationResilient and self-motivatedThe ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressureIdeally qualified to degree level or equivalent achieved through extensive and demonstrably successful experienceIndustry Standard and/or Professional Body accreditations desirable (e.g. IACCM, ICM or MCIPS)  About Capita Group CommercialOur Commercial team is one of Capita’s central corporate functions and is ensuring safe and cost-effective contract opportunities.
