More about the roleAbout the role:Portfolio Management Office Providing portfolio management services to all New Look functions, including the Transformation Programme, efficiency and “keeping the lights on” programmes Providing portfolio-level management information on financials, progress updates, resources, risks and issues, new demand, benefits and interdependencies for all programmes/projects Support the Head of Transformation in managing the process for consolidating, prioritising and approving the required project and agile development budgets Driving the commercial agenda across the portfolio, championing benefits realisation whilst controlling and optimising resources & costs Ensuring development, review and maintenance of portfolio management standards, processes, procedures, tools and techniques Under the Head of Transformation, support the management of the portfolio governance process, ensuring the portfolio prioritisation decisions consider the needs of Transformation, risk & compliance and efficiency agendas.  Programme Management Office Delivering programme & project management office services to all New Look functions Ensuring advice is provided on the use of planning, estimating, tracking and risk analysis tools and techniques, and supports the use of selected tools, such as project management software Ensuring that the programmes/projects being run comply with the operating model and project governance processes and standards Ensuring programme and project performance is evaluated and changes are recommended where performance is found to be unsatisfactory Ensuring development, review and maintenance of project management standards, processes, procedures, tools and techniques. Governance Ensure that all functions are adhering to the primary KPIs of Cost, Time and Cycle Time Ensure that all initiatives are effectively delivering against their agreed Objectives & Key Results Manage the agenda and inputs for the monthly Portfolio Board and deputise for the Head of Transformation when required Publish a high-level portfolio and KPI report to portfolio stakeholders monthly. Input into the pack and commentary for the portfolio board Manage and run pipeline meetings with all the key stakeholders of the portfolio. Use these meetings to ascertain the status of the initiatives due to go for funding approval Own the post implementation review process and the sharing of initiative lessons learnt  Ensure all areas of the business are updating correct and up to date information in the PPM solution Key Relationships You will work across the business leadership and functional Programme/Project Management community on the processes, methodology and management information needed to run the Portfolio  You will work across the leadership community including Directors and Heads Of on the pipeline, prioritisation and delivery of projects across the portfolio You work closely with the Finance function on integrating portfolio plans, approvals, commitments and costs into the relevant financial plans and actuals You will manage the PMO team and ensure its delivery of the PMO administrative tasks Essential skills/knowledge Experience of running a PMO or a similar organisation Demonstrable understanding and experience of industry standard programme office process, project management methodologies and governance Experience of managing portfolios and providing portfolio management services to a range of business areas Experience of financial planning, business case development, resource and commercial management necessary to deliver a portfolio or programme, across internal and external teams Experience of effective working with senior stakeholders to reach decisions and challenge performance Desirable Skills/knowledge Strong Programme and Project Management experience Strong interpersonal skills with confidence to manage upwards and influence decisions around the portfolio Will be able to deputise for the Head of Transformation in all key meetings Don`t miss out and apply today!
