The Data Privacy Senior Manager role is a critical part of the Link Corporate Markets governance solution with responsibility for data privacy oversight and related governance activities in accordance with data privacy regulations related policies and procedure.
The role supports the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and data owners in securing appropriate, proportionate but compliant outcomes. These solutions must always serve to protect the rights and freedoms of data subjects, meet our multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements and also our particular regulatory obligations as a controller and a processor.
Key AccountabilitiesPrivacy must be a consideration throughout our business processes, from inception to closure. The role holder will be expected to always operate and conduct themselves with integrity. Training: Deliver, support, encourage and contribute to the education and enhancement of awareness of employees who carry out data processing and data controller activities. Ensure this covers their obligations under the relevant data privacy regulations and data protection legislationMonitor compliance: Monitor the firm’s compliance with data privacy regulations and data protection legislation via the delivery of the in house monitoring programme and ad-hoc activities driven by operational tasks & events surrounding breach activities & rights requests. Maintenance of core privacy support functions across host of data privacy activities including but not limited too: In house Data Privacy Microsite/Knowledge Repository, Periodical reports and dashboards, planned monitoring activities, review rights requests, Incident reporting, risk register data privacy content, Information asset register and any appropriate ad hoc requests.Continual improvement across the delivery of data privacy compliant processes and services to LMS & Link Asset ServicesInternal Client Requests, Meetings and PresentationsAssist in breach Incident ManagementEssential:G.C.S.E Maths and English grade ‘C’ or above, or equivalentWell-developed communication skills, including verbal and a level of written communication and reporting skills necessary to clearly and concisely describe complex issues and actionsAbility to speak with confidence and authority with colleagues, peers, Leadership team members (and external clients - should the need ever arise)Ability to work in high pressure situations, tight deadlines and follow processes and procedures whilst working with accuracy and attention to detailGood organisation and time management skillsAbility to prioritiseAbility to adapt to changing situationsGood understanding of Microsoft Office programsDesirable:Data Privacy exposure and experience commensurate with regulation and legislation. e.g. GDPR.Knowledge of the investment industry and practicesPrevious experience within Financial Services or Banking industryPeople management
