Our agile working culture and cross-business teams mean you can develop your career in a way that works best for you – making an impact that goes far beyond ‘the numbers’.As a Senior Manager in the Audit & Assurance practice, you will oversee multiple engagements and be responsible for helping resolve accounting, auditing, and other issues that arise during the audit process. A leader in the field, you will be supervising and managing services to clients including preparing audit strategy and budgets. Someone of your knowledge and know-how will also be expected to:Develop a personal growth plan/strategy around a portfolio of potential new clients/new business;Identify, prepare and participate in proposals for new clients and projects;Schedule audits, identify staff, and assign workloads;Supervise, develop and motivate staff, including coaching and career guidance;Identify and lead integration of overseas resources (i.e. delivery centres) to drive efficient execution;Actively monitor and manage engagement economics such that revenue is recognised appropriately throughout the engagement;Drive the delivery of services in a timely and effective way, exceeding our clients’ quality expectations;Effectively work in an agile environment;Consult and advise our clients on technical accounting, auditing and internal control matters;Develop, maintain and leverage internal contacts across Deloitte businesses; andStay connected to market trends to think through future innovative solutions.Your professional experience:Essential:ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent)Extensive experience of working with IFRS, UK, US GAAP or equivalent reporting standardsThe ability to present client data in a clear and concise formatAbility to develop effective client relationships, in particular establishing rapport, trust and confidence with stakeholdersProject management experienceProven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesExperience working in a fast-paced, team environmentAbility to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levelsExperience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements, even in a virtual environmentDesirable:PCAOB experience is desirable, however this is not essentialSummaryLocation: BelfastType: Full time
