The opportunity

The successful candidate will work closely with the BD Leadership Team (BDLT) and as part of the Market Execution & Operations team.

Your key responsibilities

The BD Operations Lead is responsible for:

Overseeing the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the BD team operational infrastructureDelivery of Strategic Project Management support against top priorities and initiativesOperational and talent support, including recruitment, DE&I agenda, and annual promotions GDS offshoring strategy and executionDriving process evaluation and improvement

Partnering with functional leads to understand objectives and prioritiesDeveloping and managing operational activity to support goals and address identified pain points Work closely with the transformation team to identify and implement key process improvements which can be replicated across BDIdentifying and implementing best practice and consistent ways of working in conjunction with other operational leads

Developing the DE&I strategy working closely ensuring alignment with CBS DE&I strategy Developing the Communications strategy and ownership of monthly people update and quarterly all hands meetings, Leadership away day strategy, planning & supportPartnering with HR and the BDLT to review Global People Survey (GPS) results, ensuring action plans are developedAlongside the Strategy Leader, manage the year end people processes including salary review, bonus review, promotions, progressions, business cases, communications and timelines - working with function leaders and HR Business PartnerWork closely with the BDLT on L&D strategy development and roll-out including development of function/level L&D ‘signposts’Own the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process working closely with the BDLT ensuring seamless onboarding process for all new hires into BD and provide guidance to the teams to ensure they understand the full recruitment processWork closely with the People Engagement Lead on the Counsellor network mobilisation and management of counsellor related activities

Management Information
Own the MI reporting roadmap ensuring constant review and refinement of reporting lifecycle and assisting the BD community to drive greater insights from the firm’s reporting capability Maintain flexibility within the team to respond to quick turnaround adhoc reporting / analysis projects

Offshoring innovation and implementation
Working closely with GDS leadership, BDLT and individual market functions to drive firm value from the GDS strategy, ensuring we have the right level of support, headcount and skills across the markets function

Budget Management
Oversight of the BD Headcount and Expense BudgetsResponsible for planning and forecasting for BD headcount and expenses

Team Management
Direct line management of 2 x BD Ops Manager plus offshore support

To qualify for the role you must have

Experience of operationally leading across a (10m budget/organisation;Financial planning and management Extensive experience of business leadershipExtensive experience of leading teams – directly and indirectly, including offshore team management and developmentExperience of working in a pre-sales environment – Marketing, Sales, Bid Management or equivalent experience working in a Programme Office Leader Role or Experience in transformational change programmes

Experience of working with offshore teams Commercial/contract management (business office/programme office) type experience Tools/data presentation expertise – skilled usage of Excel, PowerPoint etc.
