BNY Mellon Investor Solutions is a unique business within BNY Mellon.  Investor Solutions focuses on asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and alternatives within a OCIO context as well as an asset management context.  The business designs, constructs and manages multi-asset, multi-manager investment strategies using both proprietary and third-party investment strategies, acting as a discretionary, or non-discretionary, provider to asset owners on a global basis across institutional, intermediary, and family office channels.  Investor Solutions is aligned with BNY Mellon Wealth Management but works across all BNY Mellon and its affiliates and subsidiaries including, but not limited to, Global Distribution, Pershing, Asset Servicing, and the various investment affiliates of BNY Mellon.  Portfolio Manager RolePortfolio Managers will be carrying out an FCA-regulated function in Investor Solutions and will be involved in all aspects of the investment process:Investment functions:Delivery of the investment philosophy of Investor Solutions to each client accountParticipation in the formation of house investment views and narratives considering economic and market data as well as expectationsImplementation of house asset class and manager views in individual client portfolios within predefined risk and construction parameters, investment policy guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements to achieve investment objectivesLead or participate in client meetings and provide input to client materials, discussing economic conditions, market performance and investment positioning across asset classes and managers in a portfolioOngoing compliance rule monitoring, management of cashflows and rebalancing across client accounts as requiredSupport the generation of client performance reports including quarterly reviews, and performance attributionBusiness developmentSupport the design of client portfolios to meet financial goals, risk tolerance and other characteristics as part of the business development efforts across all client channelsAssist on projects related to new business development, including creation and maintenance of marketing materials and RFP’sAssist in managing portfolio implementation plans, on-boarding discussions, and changes to investment management agreementsResearchParticipate in research, innovation and investment tool and process development projectsResearch and report on internal and external investment vehicles on a regular basis across equities, fixed income, and alternative investment strategiesKeep abreast of the latest events in financial markets The portfolio manager will work closely with other portfolio managers on a day-to-day basis, but also interact regularly with the research and client consultant teams and will need to collaborate with and assist other departments on a wide range of projects.  Experience and QualificationsExperience in a multi-asset portfolio management role requiredBS in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information SystemsStrong Finance Knowledge: Brinson Attribution, Ex-ante Risk and Ex-Post Analytics, Performance Reporting, Data structures, Portfolio Management concepts (CAPM, Risk Factor Models), Active Management, Capital Structure of Markets, Macroeconomic EnvironmentPreference for strong quantitative skills: Excel, VBA, Python, R, SQL, Data Science conceptsPreference for candidates with/working towards CFA, FRM, CAIA or MBAAs global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances important for client trustFull time
