A career within Capital Markets will provide you with the opportunity to be responsible for complex financial reporting issues around deals and other transformational events. You'll tackle client's needs with a solution oriented approach that creatively addresses complex financial reporting problems for high profile transactions and you'll have significant interaction with senior company management teams, bankers, lawyers and other advisers.Capital Markets advises companies on important deals - initial public offerings ("IPOs"), significant acquisitions or divestments and raising capital through debt or equity issuances. We are specialists in the UK and US capital market regimes and provide assurance and advice in connection with the financial reporting aspects of these deals, including financial projections, financial reporting procedures and offering documents. PwC is the market leader in providing assurance on these deals, working on many high profile transactions. We provide services that our clients and their other advisers depend on. We support an inclusive culture by acknowledging the unique experiences and perspectives each individual brings to the table, with our team representing a number of different backgrounds and culturesThe role:A career within Capital Markets will provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of different types of transaction and workstream with high profile clients across a range of industries.As a senior manager, your responsibilities will include:Managing teams on a variety of engagements, taking ownership of all aspects of delivery, programme and team management, monitoring commercial performance and quality.Working alongside senior levels of management, bankers, lawyers and other advisers. We frequently work in teams with other parts of PwC;Writing and reviewing reports, comfort letters and transaction documents (e.g. prospectuses, shareholder circulars and offering memorandums) for our clients. Identifying critical risks and working as part of a team to address them;Developing internal and external networks, and adopting a business development mindset to drive the growth of our business. This includes involvement in targeting initiatives - helping to identify, pursue and convert a pipeline of business.Essential Skills & Experience:ACA/ICAS qualified (or equivalent)Strong report writing and data analytical skillsStrong commercial awarenessStrong interpersonal skills (managing teams, coaching, mentoring and developing staff, developing and maintaining client relationships)Strong project management skills and experience in dealing with changing deadlinesExcellent communication skills (questioning and listening)Not the role for you?Did you know PwC offers flexible career arrangements and contract work?
