Actuarial Reserving ManagerReporting Line             Head of UK & Europe ReservingLocation                       London, UKThis role will manage the coordination of the reserving process for UK & Europe. This key rolewill be visible and role holder will have the opportunity to interact with and advise seniormanagement. The holder of this role will have exposure to most of the lines of business written by AIG UK & Europe.We are looking for an individual who is internally motivated, intellectually curious, has the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and tasks.Position Description:Manage and coordinate the delivery of the quarterly roll forward and detailed valuations review for UK and Europe reserve results.Liaise with the finance team to ensure accurate representation of UK & Europe reserves in the finance and actuarial systemsEnsure appropriate controls are in place for the reserving processCoordinate of the external audit reviews, independent reserve reviews, internal audit reviews on behalf of the teamPerform targeted reviews as an when requiredCoordinate the production of Year-End reserve reportsManage/ participate in the actuarial projects as an when requiredMonitor adherence to procedures and methodologies.Position Requirements: BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fieldQualified Actuary (FIA, FCAS) preferred but not essentialDemonstrable experience in General InsuranceStrong leadership, analytical and problem solving skillsEffective project management, time management and organizational skillsStrong business and collaboration skills; responsive to service needs and operational demandsAbility to build relationships with other areas of the businessAbility to work under own initiative, be proactive and show flexibility to meet business needsAbility to meet tight deadlines and prioritise own workProfessional behaviour with high level of integrityExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsCustomer focusWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer American International Group, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates are committed to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and its policies and procedures reflect this commitment.
