At Alstom we have a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to join us on our journey as our Crossrail Programme Manager on a permanent basis to establish, and deliver a programme of works by maintaining the Project Schedule ensuring it’s aligned with the project strategy needed to deliver the project. If you have expertise in delivering complex software delivery programs then we would love to hear from you as the role will entail maintaining the software deployment plan in conjunction with leading engagement with the customer and suppliers to maintain and deliver a coherent plan of train software upgrades.What That Means Day To DayYou’ll be instrumental in managing relations with stakeholders’ by continuously ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements and engaging directly with the customer and key suppliers to ensure alignment on project issues. Other aspects of your role will encompass:Managing the Core Team including Contract Management, Finance, Engineering, Sourcing, Planning, Materials and Quality to ensure timely delivery of Contractual Requirements.Implementing the project strategy ensuring overall coordination, and evaluation the project deliverables.Delivering software upgrades because there's a very complex integration task on the train between three signalling systems and the train control management system.Supporting the Risk Manager to define and manage risks and opportunitiesLeading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders including:Delivery of Reliability growth to meet contract targetsDelivery of integrated software updates to achieve contract complianceDelivery of hardware modifications to achieve contract complianceDefining and delivering a successful transition to the Services organisation as well as contract closure activitiesEngaging project teams in the successful achievement of project objectives and strengthen relationships among them.Management of the project progress reports and KPIs to senior management and Customers. Ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, instructions, and standards such as Code of Ethic and Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety and our values.Who We’re Looking ForAt Alstom we are agile, inclusive and responsible in everything we do. Degree level qualification in a relevant subject preferable or equivalent industry experience. Member of a professional body (APM/PMI). Chartered status (ChPP) an advantage.Knowledge of rolling stock systems including software and system integration including development, testing and assurance.Leadership, entrepreneurship mindset and result orientatedExperience of setting up and managing multi-functional teams. Experience in the development and/or implementation of project management processes and lifecycle, and a good knowledge of the project control processes.
