The Senior Contract Manager is a critical role within the Offshore Renewables Business, focussing on the delivery of large-scale offshore wind projects and large work packages in the UK, Europe and overseas.A significant role within the Offshore business, this role is responsible for implementing the defined, negotiated the Global offshore operations across projects and countries, especially focused on Global and Hub contracts, such as the SMA WTG, Balance of Plant (BoP), Logistics, Supply of Spare parts… and any other agreement. Belonging to the Growth and Processes Offshore Operations department, reporting to the Head of Contracts Strategy and Cost Modelling Department, the Sr Contract Manager will be responsible for implementing across hub and contracting strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating, and managing multi-million offshore Service contracts. The Sr. contract Manager will ensure alignment of the Contracts Strategy to the Hub O&M Offshore Contract strategy What you’ll be doing
This role will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and updating procedures, to support site contract Hub located teams. In addition, the individual will manage contractual & commercial risks and seek out opportunities to optimise and drive the performance of the different global offshore operations contracts and strategy.This role will include working closely with the different Hubs teams, general contractors and teams from Iberdrola Renewables global Operations business, SPR Renewables, Iberdrola’s Construction, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Procurement teams to ensure contracts are managed effectively.The individual will be working as part of a global growth & processes unit, specially within the Contract strategy & Cost Modelling depart with activities across the Hub. The position may require frequent travel to various locations overseas. The role requires the individual to manage multi-disciplinary teams and the individual should be prepared to manage teams working at different project locations.What you’ll bring Educated to Degree level in Engineering
Significant experience in commercial and contractual aspects of engineering.
Proven ability to manage the negotiation of multi-contracts in competing timescales
Substantial postgraduate experience in industry with significant experience in Offshore Wind
Flexible to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites in a number of countries thought northern Europe and USA, particularly Germany, France, Denmark, Spain and England.
Experience in managing high skilled teams.
Substantial postgraduate experience with significant experience in a relevant field (offshore wind or oil and gas preferable).
Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated with offshore/marine construction projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of offshore procedures, standards and guidance.
