It may not be for every role, and, as part of the recruitment process, you’ll have the chance to discuss smart working and how it might work for the job you are applying for.About this roleIn this role, you will be responsible for a team of Contract Professionals managing volume contracts across a number of regions and sectors within BT Enterprise. You will be responsible for working with the regional and sector leads, as well as the Contract Assurance lead, to set appropriate performance objectives and to drive the team towards achieving this objectives. You will protect the value of managed contracts by ensuring risks are managed, contractual obligations are contractually delivered and excellent stakeholder management is demonstrated for all contracts demanding standard and repeatable processes. You will also identify and deliver strategic improvements to practices in Contract Management through the standardisation and simplification of work practices, including agreeing a strategy for the clear lines of responsibility between Contract Management and CBS.You'll have the following responsibilitiesTo lead the Hub team, ensuring all performance objectives are achievedTo standardise and simplify the management of lower value contracts whilst still maximising the performance of the contractTo determine clear objectives for the team, in line with the strategy and objectives of Contract ManagementTo engage with sector/regional leads to provide performance metrics contributing to their sector/region’s overall performanceTo drive continuous development in the Hub, increasing our contract management capability from its current remit into other sectors (i.e. Defence) and providing support for volume activities for field-based contracts for functions such as inventory management, billing, change control, etc.To identify and implement a best practice programme within the HubTo coach and mentor the team to perform at their very best, ensuring their teams are upskilled where requiredTo create a development path for entry-level contract professionals to develop into more senior rolesYou'll have the following skills & experienceStrong stakeholder management skills within Enterprise and BT GroupProven ability to identify and solve business problemsProven ability to work across organisational boundaries.All elements of managing bespoke major contractsStrategic thinker and proven ability to drive organisational changeExperience in a position of leadershipProven ability to devise and implement strategic improvementsStrong knowledge of contract management practicesProven ability to work with geographically(1)dispersed and virtual teamsProven academic backgroundBenefitsAt BT, we entertain, educate and empower millions of people every single day.
