As a result, we have seen significant sales growth ahead of the trend in this area!The Mattel Amazon team operates as a separate Regional Team within Europe, set up in a matrix structure with dedicated Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and HR functions, located across the region in UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Netherlands. In addition to managing Amazon for the region, the team also drives the strategy of marketplaces and acts as a center of excellence for all things eCom.In line with Amazon’s expansion we’ve also evolved from managing 5 European markets to 9, with Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Belgium launching over the last 3 years. We have also introduced a new Marketing team with regional focus on Category Management and Media. This has further supported how we can partner closely with Amazon to leverage our joint strategy and solidify our strong pan-European business relationship.We always strive to challenge and re-invent our ways of operating to ensure we continue winning in the eCom space – if you’re motivated by this challenge then come and join us!The Opportunity: In this exciting and highly visible leadership role, you’ll be accountable for building, managing & developing the long-term business partnerships with Amazon in order to achieve the targeted revenue and profit metrics – key measures of success will include increasing the online presence Mattel’s iconic brands! Not only will you take lead and be the core contributor in designing a strategy, you’ll also be accountable for planning, managing and executing the business for Amazon on a European Level as well as for UK.We’re looking for a driven and ambitious SUPERSTAR to help Mattel reach its goal of being recognized as the #1 Toy Retailer on Amazon!Think you’ve got what it takes to WIN in this role? Then we want to hear from you!What Your Impact Will Be: Customer FacingManage day-to day retailer relationships with several stakeholders at different levels of seniority.Closely collaborate with Amazon stakeholders to ensure listings, continuous availability and activation of the Mattel range on the site.Leading trading terms and customer investment negotiations across Europe.Drive multi-year Joint Business Planning with amazon.Represent the company during trade fairs and showroom visits.Product Forecasting and replenishment Annual Operating Planning at a country and brand level; quarterly revisions.Monthly quantity forecasting for a large portfolio of brands and products that influences production.Near-term turnover forecasting on a weekly basis for submission to management.Participate in supply chain projects that will develop efficiencies for Mattel and its eRetail customers and deliver improved customer service.StrategyLeader and core contributor in the ongoing evolution and implementation of the Go to Market strategy together with cross functional teams (marketing, digital, supply chain, IT).Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of retailers’ and toy market dynamics.Identify shopper and ecommerce trends for business growth and implement initiatives and action plans.Collaborate with Brand and Shopper Marketing to evolve Mattel’s eRetail presence and activation into being increasingly more consumer centric and brand led.Trade Marketing & Activity PlanningSupport Regional Customer Range Planning/Selection (with input from brand activation).Plan and execute customer marketing activities and promotions in collaboration with the Shopper Marketing and Brand Activation teams.Collaborate with the Marketing team to increase the impact and ROI of activation across the entire digital funnel.Data Analysis and ReportingContinuously evolve the data acquisition and use strategy.In collaboration with the analytics teams, monitor KPIs in order to deliver on objectives and accelerate business growth.Monitor the online analytics tools and take corrective action steps when the online implementation KPIs fail to adhere with target (e.g. number of reviews, rich digital content, frequent out-of-stocks etc).FinancialOngoing revision of multi-year strategic and joint business plans with revenue and investment objectives.Periodic financial forecasting – AOP + Stretch submissions.Manage and track the allocated budget & maintain the respective audit trails.Deliver on revenue and profit targets.Management and leadershipManage a team of 2 that are responsible for Amazon and new eRetail business development in UK.Lead and manage for the Amazon Europe team a series of responsibilities such as the trading terms negotiations, JBP and overall EU operation projects.Represent the Amazon Europe team internally and externally for regionally driven topics for specific brands (e.g. interface with the marketing teams on identifying what products gaps exist on the Hot Wheels range).Represent the Amazon Europe team internally and externally on assigned projects.Together with the rest of the team, act as a centre of competence and expertise for e-retail towards the rest of the organization. Develop and deliver internal trainings as necessary.Manage the cross functional Business Calendar, to prioritise workflows cross functions.Lead the consensus process in collaboration with category and sales forecasting team.OwnershipTerms ownership.P&L ownership – internal and external.Own forecasting submission processes.Full JBP facilitation – internal and external.Manage annual communications calendar with amazon – offsites, sales forecasting sessions, JBP reviews, business reviews.Be the commercial lead for consensus process.Define the EU promotional strategy.Own and drive the exclusives strategy to achieve 20% SOB.Supply chain main contact.Ownership and facilitation of the business calendar.Facilitate and lead in the local consistent issues and solve regionally.What We’re Looking For: University degree in Economics, Business Administration or related field (Bachelor/ Master/ Diploma) OR demonstrable relevant experienceSeasoned experience in Consumer Goods/ Sales/Marketing with solid Key Account Management experience in a multinational Company, of which at least 2+ years have been invested in dealing with E-Commerce & Digital Marketing – preferably Amazon!Selling & negotiation skills in international environment, preferably acquired in a global company with high seasonalityUnderstanding of online / digital metricsExceptional Strategic thinking and planning abilitiesStrong analytical, problem solving and project management skillsHighly competitive mindset & Business results oriented: ability to perform, to budget and manage forecastAbility to work in wide variety of projects with tight deadlinesAbility to build relationships within a matrix business environment and handle diverse audiencesA confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration within an organizationProactive, positive and innovative mindFast learner – ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environmentFluency in EnglishDon’t meet every single requirement? At Mattel we are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
