We value the uniqueness and diversity of our employees and recognize that nurturing the diverse perspectives and strengths of our people translates into innovative breakthroughs for patients.Brand Manager (NF1)Office Based Position SummaryThe Brand Manager (NF1) will co-ordinate the cross functional brand team and in collaboration with the Franchise Lead be accountable for the development, management, and implementation of the strategic and tactical disease plans to meet commercial brand targets and support corporate and franchise goals and objectives.Principal ResponsibilitiesCo-ordinate the cross functional brand team including development of and delivery of brand meeting sessions in collaboration with the Franchise LeadDevelopment of tactical disease plans (brand plans) with the cross functional matrix teamDevelop commercial campaigns aligned with lead generation principlesImplement and track progress of commercial campaigns and activities in line with the disease planManage budget as per disease plans and in collaboration with commercial leadershipAnalyze data and communicate local market insight to cross functional brand team and local commercial leadership team.Develop and maintain excellent therapy area knowledge and market insights (individually and throughout the brand team) to provide a competitive advantageManage external agencies to ensure high quality, compliant deliverables within budgetDevelop and maintain strong relationships with other functional areas.  Present brand performance at relevant local meetingsEnsure the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained according to the ABPI and IPHA codes, SOPs and work practices
Qualifications1-2 years sales and/or product management experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech company Rare Disease experience is desirableKnowledge of UK/Ireland’s country specific regulations, including the ABPI Code of PracticeUnderstanding of digital marketing and lead generation principlesProven track record in achieving commercial brand goalsExperience of implementing tactics/activities across multiple channels including the Veeva platformExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effectiveness as a cross-functional team player that gets resultsMust demonstrate an energy and enthusiasm which brings a positive approach to challenges and fosters the idea that nothing is impossibleRequires individuals with good project management, organisation skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibilityUnderstanding of the NHS or equivalent structure and strategies, and how this impacts the businessStrong IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, WordFluency in English both written and oral mandatoryEducationDegree in life science and/or business / marketingAlexion is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on serving patients and families affected by rare diseases and devastating conditions through the discovery, development and commercialization of life-changing medicines.
