Job Title: Technology Product Manager

Location: Remote working (travel to the head office twice a month will be required)

Salary: Up to £50,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

About the role of Technology Product Manager

Take the technology product vision and lead on its delivery, working with sales, underwriting, technology, risk, compliance, customer experience and any other elements of the change needed to release the product vision are clearly understood and prioritised. You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the technology customer journey, creating best in class experienced to delight customers with a rich and frictionless experience, increasing the banks relevancy with new and existing customers.

You will also own and manage the development roadmaps with overall control of the prioritisation of the associated backlogs. Conduct regular customer testing as well as utilising various sources of insights to improve activity, working closely with the IT/Scrum team to review and incorporate into the build.

The role is pivotal in driving the banks ambition to increasingly improve the customer experience while delivering key commercial objectives.

Responsibilities for the role of Technology Product Manager

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer experience to review and challenge existing processes as well as developing innovative solutions that always put the customer first.
  • Help to shape the customer experience across all touchpoints with an emphasis and understanding of the key moments of truth.
  • Use your expertise to guide the delivery team and wider business to better understand and deliver for the bank's customers, being empowered to agree final user stories.
  • Lead the servicing PO to ensure that there is collaboration between the change teams and the business.
  • Lead the servicing PO to steer sprint/release panning sessions by working with the agile team to plan releases that deliver maximum business value and respond to customers' needs reducing effort by continuously refining the relevant backlogs.
  • Lead discovery work around MVP for any new feature, collaborating with user experience and agile delivery teams to prototype and validate the MVP with customers.
  • Effectively present the vision, roadmap and KPIs and execution plans (release/sprint plans) to motivate delivery teams and met business needs.
  • Work with the other customer experience owners to establish best practice and hold PO Meetings at the end of sprints to enable this.
  • Act as an advocate for innovation and evidence-based approaches to improve customer experience and profitability.
  • Understand customer target segmentation/key user personas and develop a deep understanding of customers needs, developing the personas at the outset working with the customer experience and research to ensure they are used through design and delivery.
  • Through a process of user acceptance testing, test and learn methodology and by leveraging understanding of the customer, ensuring the customer experience is relevant and engaging.
  • Work with the change and operational areas to define any business cases and benefits and track the effectiveness of these to demonstrate value.
  • Build trusted and effective working relationships across the retail business.
  • Inspire colleague with a passion for delivering for the customer, challenging the banks business areas and the development teams to place the customer at the heart of everything they do.
  • Drive rapid progress within an agile team to deliver maximum value adhering to the Banks delivery framework.
  • Continue to develop knowledge of group products ad services and customer research/user experience testing approaches including the use of google analytics and sessioncam.

Experience required for the role of Technology Product Manager

  • Cemap or CERER qualified will be highly desirable.
  • Educated to degree standard.
  • Experience of working with a mortgage servicing business is essential.
  • Experience of working with a mortgage servicing platform.
  • Product owner or project management background gained with a mortgage servicing business.
  • Good understanding of the mortgage or equity release sector is essential.
  • Able to manage and motivate a team.
  • Sound financial Acumen
  • Confident communicator
  • Experience of working as a servicing SME.
  • Good written and verbal presentation skills
  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Office.
