This is a fantastic 12 month fixed term contract opening for a BD Projects Manager to join the Corporate team of one of the premier international legal firms.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Corporate BD, the BD Projects Manager will be an integral member of the BD, working in a central and pivotal role within the London and Global Corporate Business Development team to lead on a number of high-profile projects and campaigns, specifically building the firm's relationship with corporate clients in the UK and across the firm. You will work closely with the Global Head of Corporate BD and the Senior Manager, London Corporate BD and as a key member of the London team, to ensure high quality and efficient execution of strategic BD actions. With management responsibility for four team members based in London and Belfast, the role holder will enjoy a broad BD focused role supporting the role out of the updated Global Corporate strategy and providing regular updates on progress to the wider business. You will play a lead role in Global Corporate practice projects and the development of key pieces of thought leadership, both externally, to increase the firm's profile in the market as a leading player for complex cross-border M&A via regular publications and the roll out of flagship client presentations and also through the development of M&A's presence on the firm's website, and internally to build collaboration and share insights. The successful applicant will oversee the client communications process with UK based and multinational corporate clients and ensure key corporate clients receive a full suite of added value services. This will include overseeing the London Corporate practice’s approach to social media and encouraging best practice internationally. Other key duties of this varied and challenging role will include oversight of both the firm's CRM system for the London Corporate practice and the M&A and ECM league table submission process globally and overall responsibility for the delivery of a programme of events and relationship touch points.
Pre-requisites for this role include an outstanding academic record or equivalent allied to previous relevant marketing experience gained in a large professional services firm to include a proven track record of working with senior management and of achieving strategic business objectives. Proactive, creative, tenacious and energetic, the BD Projects Manager will need a real enthusiasm for developing an in-depth understanding of the firm's clients, markets and services and a strong ability to influence at the highest levels internally.
