Fimatix is a Software Solution Delivery Consultancy to HM Government and FinTech industries. Our client in the Financial Services sector has asked us to source a permanent Digital team under our TaaS service offering.
The purpose of this role is to identify strategic business requirements that may lead to in-house developments or selection of new off-the-shelf solutions. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will be expected to compile comprehensive Business Requirements Documents for a traditional waterfall development approach (not Epics or Stories) and translate these into functional specifications for a development team who utilises Appian low Code platform.
The role requires involvement across all areas of business globally and engagement with the third-party support suppliers and strategic partners as appropriate.
Your responsibilities will include:
Build and maintain customer service focused relationships with business teams.
Facilitate the identification and documentation of business requirements for the development of new, or improvement to existing, processes and technology solutions
Translate the business need into recommended solutions and write-up proposal documents
Translate solutions from business requirement into functional and technical specifications
Contribute to the identification, diagnosis and resolution of production issues as required.
Develop test plans and scripts to cover system and integration testing stages
Work closely with the business teams in developing User Acceptance Test plans and scripts
Assist with job estimation and project planning for assigned tasks and responsibilities
Maintain and produce the required environment documentation as relevant to the support of the implementation of changes and enhancement of production support knowledge, e.g. release notes, change control documentation, user guides, support knowledge bases.
Control assigned work packages and project components to completion within agreed timescales
Key skills required are:
Demonstrable experience in Regulated Financial Services sector.
Extensive experience of syndicated loan administration market.
Demonstrative experience of working across a wide variety of projects and products in a Senior Technical Business Analysis capacity
Proven experience of producing requirements documents and functional/technical specifications as part of large projects
Exposure to regulatory projects and initiatives in particular those mandated by FCA, PRA, SEC, ASEC, ACPR.
Experience of business process analysis and re-engineering.
Experience of database schema design and modelling
Advanced user of MS-Visio, MS-Project as well as other MS-Office packages
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and attentive to detail
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience of working in project teams with mixed skillsets and levels of technical knowledge
Overall and extensive experience is more important than any specific qualification
