Who we want:
As a member of the Stryker Joint Replacement team, the for MDDS (Medical Device Data System) development will be responsible for developing software and infrastructure for a highly scalable and secure MDDS hosted in a Microsoft Cloud platform. You will be able to assist with technology selection, design development, verification/validation, and deployment. You will also support existing codebases, making a significant contribution through continuous improvement within an agile team. This position will report directly to the Manager for Cloud Systems Development

What you will do:


Implement software and infrastructure solutions for Microsoft cloud hosted MDDS.


Developing high-quality, well-documented, tested code, and contributing to development reviews to maintain standards and release processes across the team.


Supporting the current code base and implementing new features/ bug fixes found during production ramp up.


Proactively seeking improvements to the current system leading to roadmap improvements.


Working with onshore and offshore developers to implement a state-of-the-art MDDS.


Testing and documenting development work to a high standard, while maintaining an audit trail and revision history of the work.


Conducting peer reviews of new code releases.


Advance solutions by applying in-depth knowledge of customer needs, market and competitive offerings


Be proficient with and mentor others in the usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations


Lead creation and refinement of engineering documentation, such as the Design History file


Follow and mentor others on R&D procedures like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System


Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success as a leader on the team


Support and execute segments of complex product development to advance projects through the design /development/launch process


Contribute to product development from concept through release


Deliver high-quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities


Build relationships and influence across the engineering groups within the business


Design, develop, modify, evaluate and verify software components


In code reviews, apply design principals, coding standards and best practices


What you will need:


Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline & 4+ years of work experience.


Specifying Cloud Architecture for Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platforms.


Applying standard engineering principals to resolve difficult problems from the concept phase to final design and commercial release.


Designing systems for cybersecurity threat deduction.


Database technologies: SQL, NoSQL, Time Series, and Data Lake/Data warehouse solutions


CI/CD pipelines and orchestration.


Automation of unit, integration, acceptance testing.


Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code solutions


Minimum C#; however, a strong preference for language-agnostic developer.


Angular or similar reactive technologies.
