Business Analyst - MIFID II - Private Banking - 6 months potentially extendable - £650 umbrella
Job Purpose: This role holder will be part of the EMEA ESG program team, which is focused on delivering the various regulatory requirements relating to ESG, such as SFDR, MiFID II amendments, EU Taxonomy, UK TCFD. This is a business critical regulatory initiative and will require conducting detailed analysis of Business, Control, and front to back Operating issues; defining corresponding solutions; and working with Front Office, Products, Control Functions, Technology and Operations teams to implement solutions. The role holder will carry out the following key activities:
Drive and lead business case & gap analysis across Business, Control, Technology & Operations and front to back Operating processes
Understand the implications of regulatory change due to new local and cross-border regulations;
Manage change to the business across multiple cross border jurisdictions
Manage or support the execution of one or more business work streams
The role will involve interfacing with key senior stakeholders and internal clients across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individual project artefacts as required, including Project plans, Solution Options Analysis, Business Requirements Documentation (BRD’s)
• Develop training plans and policies and procedures
• Organise and lead workshops in order to facilitate and document solution analysis
• Manage individual project responsibilities on a day to day basis including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timescales and to stakeholder quality expectations.
• Understand and define key implications on the business model as a result of (1) Local and Cross-Border regulatory changes and (2) changes to internal policies to strengthen the overall control environment
• Ensure appropriate governance:
o Actively identify and manage resolution of key project risks and issues, or escalate accordingly.
o Manage, control and escalate (where necessary) project dependencies.

Knowledge/Experience:
Prior experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Asset Management or Capital Markets preferred Experience as a business analyst in delivering mid to large scale implementations working with Front Office and Infrastructure partners
Collecting, defining and documenting business and technology requirements.
Credible experience of successfully implementing regulatory projects in the financial services industry preferably Private Banking
Experience of implementing MIFID II or SFDR or similar regulation

Professional outlook with the ability to use initiative, manage deadlines, coordinate multiple tasks and work to deadlines and targets
Accuracy & Attention to detail
