Functional Knowledge:
Commercial experience of analysing and documenting complex systems and integrations.
Experience of working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) software delivery teams using Azure DevOps, VSTS or JIRA.
Excellent SQL and database design knowledge.
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Nice to have:
Experience of RPA
Experience of working as a software developer.
Knowledge of the Insurance industry.
General Background, Experience & Professional Qualification
STEM Degree or equivalent.
At least 5 years commercial experience as a technical business analyst on large projects.
Experience of delivering complex B2B integration or data mapping/migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
To work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to analyse both functional and non- functional requirements.
To work with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to agree a deliverable solution.
To create technical documentation or user stories for both offshore and onshore development teams to a standard that allows them to enhance existing/create new applications or system integrations.
To work directly with systems and databases to understand how they work without the need to involve developers
To find pragmatic solutions to requirements that align to existing functionality/architecture where possible.
To build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business
Run workshops to investigate user requirements, agree solutions and produce good quality output.
Ensure that developers have all the information they need in a timely manner so that projects can be delivered to timescales.
Assist and mentor other analysts as required.

Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills both technical and non-technical.
Ability to write detail driven user stories for offshore teams with limited knowledge of the architecture
Ability to investigate, to think logically and reason out problems.
Understanding of software design and principles.
Ability and inclination to learn new skills as required.
