Reports to: HR Director - Global Creative

Role purpose

This role has a dual purpose to provide expert HR and commercial knowledge to the Global Creative leadership team, aswell as lead on global HR Projects to support the transformation of the Creative service line business. 

The role is aligned to the business’ values and strategy and achieves its goals through the delivery and implementation of people strategies to create a culture where the best, brightest, and most engaged people are excited to be part of the Creative service line and Dentsu. This is a varied and busy generalist role that will span all aspects of the HR function including talent, reward, recruitment, employee relations, DE&I, people analytics and engagement, working in partnership, where applicable, with centres of excellence.

As part of the global transformation of the Creative Service line, this role will also support the Global HR Director to lead global projects to drive our People & Culture Agenda across our international markets. Projects will include developing our talent management roadmap and talent acquisition strategy, project managing our engagement and L&D activities, and reviewing and creating presentations or data and insights reports.

Key accountabilities

HR Advisory - Supports the operational delivery of cyclical HR activities and leads the communication, implementation and measurement of key people initiatives and programmes within own business area to support a vibrant, fast-paced, and high-performance culture

Senior business relationships - acts as a confidante, coach, and constructive challenger to senior stakeholders within own business area. Builds strong relationships to enable effective communication and action with senior business stakeholders in the Global Creative team        

HR Project Management – Project manage HR strategic priorities, to support our global business transformation programme. Build plans with clear milestones and deliverables, working with key stakeholders across the markets to drive the People & Culture agenda for the Creative business.

Data and people analytics – utilise data and insight to support leaders, drive informed decision making and as a measure of output and initiatives.

Reward – Run the end-to-end process for annual reward activities including bonus and salary review with own business area. Support the HR Director with ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed

Talent management - Uses career and talent framework to support leaders to develop the careers of our employees. Works closely with the talent and resourcing team to drive an effective talent agenda and talent acquisition strategy

Performance Development – drives an effective approach to performance development through senior leaders, developing a high-performance and effective feedback culture.

Change Management - Leads and/or supports business leaders and the Global HR Director, Creative in key organisational change management initiatives (M&A’s, organisational culture change, business process re-engineering, reorganisations).

Employee Relations – Works with the Employee Relations teams to ensure key employee issues which might pose a significant risk to the business and organisation are solved effectively

Employee Engagement - Drive accountability and commitment to employee engagement through senior leaders, leveraging insight from data such as the Check In survey. Acts as a support and advisor.

Diversity - Champions and delivers on creating a more diverse workplace by promoting initiatives, ways of working and behaviours which will drive change. Ensures leaders are accountable for role modelling inclusive leadership and are actively embedding the diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda

Business Management - Has a clear understanding of the organisational capabilities and how best to develop those capabilities through the HR strategy. Develops a robust understanding of business performance and operations. Provides inputs to the budget and planning process as needed

Professional skills and experience

A solid track record of leading across the full spectrum of HR activities including talent, recruitment, performance, development, change management and reward

Exceptional organisational skills, with experience managing HR projects, ideally on an international/global scale

A proven ability to build effective senior level relationships and to be a trusted advisor and confidante. Able to facilitate, persuade and build credibility with stakeholders.

Experience working within a large, matrix structure, ideally within creative/media industry

Strong data orientation, analytical, interpretative – able to translate people analytics into valuable business insight

Change / transformation experience would be desirable

Experience of working with stakeholders across borders and from different cultures would be advantageous
